Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:
Ronald McDonald House® Orange County is very lucky to have a volunteer like Kathy Tracy. Kathy started volunteering in 2018 but was a Ronald McDonald House® volunteer in Chicago for 6 years before that. As a Core Volunteer, she helps with House tours, phone calls, keeping common spaces clean, assisting families with general questions and requests, representing the charity at outreach events, and more. She enjoys connecting with the families we serve as well as with her fellow volunteers. As years have gone by Kathy’s support has grown into committee membership for our Capital Campaign. She uses her love for the charity to educate and inspire others to support our growth. Soon those efforts will be fully visible as our doors reopen in the summer of 2024. Having a volunteer with her level of expertise and heart to serve is vital for our mission to keep families close. Kathy is a phenomenal volunteer for all of these reasons and more. It is an honor to nominate Kathy Tracy for the 2024 Spirit of Volunteerism Awards.
