Bea Boccalandro is the president of VeraWorks, a global consulting firm that helps companies design, execute and measure their community involvement, including their philanthropic programs. She also teaches courses and seminars on community involvement for Georgetown University, the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship, the Points of Light Institute and other organizations; and is a frequent keynote speaker on business involvement in societal issues. Sarah Middleton
Sarah Middleton is President and CEO of Mission Up, a social change consulting firm that works alongside companies, nonprofits and movements. Prior to founding Mission Up, Sarah was the Senior Vice President responsible for global corporate citizenship at PIMCO and Executive Director of the PIMCO Foundation. During her time at PIMCO, Sarah was part of the Points of Light Corporate Institute Leadership Faculty, acted as a regional voice lead for IMPACT2030, and served on the Orange County Commission to End Homelessness. Sarah is past Chair of Orange County Grantmakers and was the founding Chair of the Corporate Volunteer Council of Orange County. Before joining PIMCO in 2007, she served as an AmeriCorps volunteer and worked in the nonprofit sector for six years. Sarah has written for The Huffington Post, spoken at national and regional conferences, and was named one of Orange County’s 100 Most Influential people of 2015. She is a board member for the Sisters of St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation, Friendship Shelter and the Illumination Foundation. She also serves as executive consultant for the Cal State Fullerton Leadership Scholars’ Community Outreach Board and co-leads a Brownie Girl Scout troop. Glenn Parrish brings more than 20 years of leadership experience working with businesses and philanthropy to make a lasting social impact through innovative and economically sustainable approaches.Specializing in start-ups he has pioneered entrepreneurial social enterprises such as the Rising Tide. Through the purchase and management of tax-exempt bond financed affordable housing the Rising Tide has created a thriving business which provides both housing and the net operating income to support a cutting-edge program for former foster youth which empowers them to become self-sufficient, responsible, caring adults.He provides leadership to major corporations such as Golden State Foods and United Stationers to create employee mobilizing corporate foundations that unleash the power of businesses, through their employees, to make a difference in the lives of those in need. He helps these businesses thrive by becoming recognized community partners that attract and keep great employees and are able to compete in a marketplace that demands corporate social responsibility.He currently serves on the board of directors of the Sacred Harvest Foundation. Rebecca Wang is driven by her personal passion and belief that any individual can make social impact, and that everyone has a responsibility to serve. Rebecca is a well-regarded CSR professional with 15+ years experience in developing corporate responsibility strategy, with an emphasis on employee engagement. She most recently led HP/Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s award-winning global volunteer program – which included designing and overseeing the execution of the company’s pro bono volunteering for its employees worldwide. She moved into the corporate world when hired by Cisco Systems in 2000, to design and scale the company’s volunteer program globally and manage the Cisco Systems Foundation matching gift and disaster relief programs. Rebecca has her professional roots in the nonprofit sector, spending ten years as a fundraiser and volunteer manager at a variety of organizations including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and YMCA. She currently serves as a Board member on two national organizations focused on social impact through pro bono volunteering: Taproot Foundation and CreateAthon.The Corporate Volunteerism Council of Orange County (CVCOC)
