Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:
David Dinnen is a passionate individual and an Advisor on our Fund Development and Marketing Committee. His dedication and invaluable contributions to Team Kids embody the spirit of service and wholeheartedly support our mission to empower children to change the world. David is an exceptionally determined contributor to the organization’s capacity building, and his volunteer effort supports the organization’s impact on youth and strengthening communities. Garnering skills and experience from his work in the corporate sector, David’s background in strategic initiatives helped to innovate efforts behind the scenes of our largest fundraiser, the 4th Annual Team Kids Golf Classic, which was instrumental in elevating participation – attracting contributors, sponsors, and supporters alike to make it the most sought-after charity golf tournament. Under his guidance and volunteerism, the event flourished, raising over $420,000 in 2023, the most significant fund in the twenty-three-year history of our organization. In addition to his remarkable contributions to our organization, David is known for his generosity and kindness to the broader community. As a mentor and industry advisor, he is always eager to lend a listening ear, offer encouragement, or extend a helping hand to our executive leadership, each staff member, and other volunteers on the team. David’s genuine good nature, compassion for family, and empathy leave an indelible mark on all those fortunate to cross his path. With a steadfast commitment to making a difference, he inspires us all to strive for excellence and embody the spirit of service. David is now the lead volunteer and Chair of our 2024 5th Annual Golf Classic tournament. We are immensely grateful for his continuing contributions to Team Kids and its youth empowerment programs designed to build empathy and self-efficacy in elementary-aged students, strengthening children’s connections to their peers, school, community, and caring community mentors.
