Why This Volunteer Team is Extraordinary:
No Limits Learning Center in Brea is honored to nominate our event planning committee for the OneOC Spirit of Volunteerism award for 2024. The committee members came together with one mind and heart to create an event to raise funds for the first multi-passenger van for field trips and other events. The committee shared not just a vision, but their gifts and talents. Immeasurable hours went into this endeavor, including selecting the venue, determining the theme, soliciting sponsorships, and recruiting vendors and additional volunteers to work at the event. There were ‘boots on the ground’ obtaining donations for silent and live auctions, tapping into their contacts, and canvassing local businesses door to door. Artistic talents were given to decorate the venue and the tables, as well as designing and wrapping the silent auction basket items. Others were invaluable to the venue’s setup for lighting, parking, and other logistics, as well as teardown at the conclusion. We are so grateful for everyone who gave their time and talents and created an event that soared above and beyond our expectations. Our appreciation for these volunteers and their passion for No Limits Learning Center runs deep. |
