About the iCAT

The Impact Capacity Assessment Tool (iCAT) is an assessment and planning tool that helps your nonprofit better understand its organizational capacity based on direct input from those who know you best—your team and key stakeholders.

What Do You Get with the iCAT?

The iCAT results are generated as a written report containing scores in six (6) capacity areas and up to 28 sub-capacity areas, along with an organizational capacity stage, and a series of recommendations intended to help your organization achieve maximum societal impact.

Why Participate in the iCAT?

By participating in the iCAT and its research-based questions, you will reflect on and learn how your organization can better deliver on its mission. OneOC will guide you through administering the iCAT, interpreting the results, and planning for improvement.

*The iCAT is offered as a complimentary service for OneOC Premium Members.

Nonprofit Sustainability Assessment (MAP)

About the MAP

Nonprofit sustainability lies at the intersection of exceptional impact and financial viability. The Nonprofit Sustainability Assessment offers nonprofit professionals and board members a step-by-step guide to move your organization towards this intersection. The MAP is an accessible framework that combines financial and programmatic goals into an integrated strategy.

What Do You Get with the MAP?

Organizations that participate in the MAP will:

  • Engage in critical conversations about each of their organization’s programs, including how each contributes to the overall impact of the organizational mission and how it is executed.
  • Conduct a profitability assessment of each of their programs.
  • Develop action steps for each program to inform organizational strategy, staffing allocation, and funding mix.

Why Participate in the MAP?

Creating a Matrix MAP for your organization allows you to develop and adjust your programmatic strategy year-over-year. This will help you budget effectively for your programs and help you diversify your funding sources for executing your mission.

About the SED

The Service Enterprise Diagnostic (SED) is an online assessment tool that measures the degree to which an organization is a service enterprise, including the organization’s strengths and challenges.

What Do You Get with the SED?

The SED measures:

  • Estimated Service Value of Volunteers
  • Recommendations for the Pathway to Becoming a Service Enterprise
  • Service Enterprise Characteristics

Why Participate in the SED?

We recommend the SED to organizations that are interested in evaluating the effectiveness of their existing volunteer programs or who are looking to assess their readiness to strategically embed skills-based volunteers into their organizations.

*The SED is offered as a complimentary service for OneOC Premium Plus Members.

What People Are Saying

“We knew that joining OneOC would be of tremendous benefit to our organizational growth—and that was before we knew about the iCAT. With minimal time and effort on the part of our organization [the iCAT helped us] clearly see our strengths and weaknesses and chart a course for correcting them. As an assessment tool, it got us all on the same page. Our OneOC advisor assisted us in understanding the information we received so that there was no room for error and no excuses for not moving forward with what we learned. She was able to direct us to the most helpful OneOC [services] based on where we are right now in our growth. This is something we will do year after year. I can’t think of a single reason why every organization shouldn’t take advantage of this opportunity.”
