Speaking with confidence is an essential skill. It can be exhilarating, exciting and satisfying. It can also be an anxious, uncomfortable or even terrifying experience. Whether one-on-one, small group or audience of 1,000, most of us experience some level of uncertainty or fear. Why? Before we can work on leveling up your speaking confidence, or polishing your speaking skills, we will explore the core issues, and then, discuss how to manage and mitigate them to increase your level of confidence and comfort.

Tax Prep Info Session: Organizing Your Books

Preparing your organization’s books for the 990 tax return (Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax) can be a daunting task.

Attend this Tax Preparation Information Session to learn about how to be better prepared when working with your CPA. Objectives of this information session include:

  • Best accounting practices and processes to have throughout the year to get your books closed and finalized

  • Financial reports you will need to provide to your CPA for your 990 tax return

  • Tax and audit threshold filing requirements

  • Tax Filing Deadlines

Meet Your Trainer:

Annamarie Licina is a Director of Finance and Nonprofit Accounting Services. She will also present how OneOC can help your nonprofit as your back-office support through our Accounting Services team. She is an Enrolled Agent with a background in Tax Preparation, Small Business Accounting, and Financial Planning. She holds a BS in Business Administration with emphasis’ in Management and International Business and a minor in Leadership and Organization Studies from Chapman University. Annamarie is a proud Big Sister through the Big Sister Big Brothers program and enjoys volunteering, especially when teaching Financial Literacy to the youth. She is happy to have joined the OneOC team in 2020 where her love for helping others in accounting and in supporting non-profits combine.

Foundations of Volunteer Management

The Foundations of Volunteer Management course introduces the core functions of volunteer management including planning/assessing, recruitment, support, retention, recognition, and evaluation. 

Participants will gain a better understanding of all core functions with a deeper dive into the 3 Rs of volunteer management – recruitment, retention, and recognition. During this course, we will use resources to assess volunteer programs throughout, in addition to sharing experience and tips to strengthen your understanding of volunteer management. 

MEET YOUR TRAINER: 

Elisa Cirrito joined the Volunteer Services team in the summer of 2022. She has experience in leadership program coordination and event planning from her previous role serving Fullerton College. She interned for the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Public Safety and a nonprofit organization, Achieving the Dream, which fortified her passion for strengthening her local communities. She holds an M.A. in Public Administration with a concentration in local government management from California State University, Fullerton.
