Join to Support Local Nonprofits

Gather your group of family, friends, or colleagues
and choose a nonprofit partner.

Complete activities during the months of July through September to support your nonprofit of choice.  Activities can include volunteer projects, volunteer hours, donation drives, etc.  Take pictures while you work!   THEN, submit your Impact Form (see below) detailing your activities by the end of September to be considered to win one of three $1,000 donation prizes to your nonprofit of choice.

2024 Charity Challenge Results

In 2024, 19 unique nonprofits were served when 1,253 volunteers generously donated their time and energy, contributing 1,453 hours of service to causes that directly impact the lives of those in need. Through 29 different activities, groups created real, lasting change. In monetary terms, this effort amounts to an astounding $662,673 in value of service and donations provided to our community.

Charity Challenge FAQs

  • There is no cost to participate in the Charity Challenge!

  • The OneOC Volunteerism Council will choose the 3 winners based on community impact, weighted by the size and resources of your group and activities.

  • The season begins on July 1st and closes on September 30th.

  • Teams can submit multiple submissions for multiple volunteer projects for more chances to win!

  • Yes! If your Community Cup team is participating in the Charity Challenge, you will receive an extra 10 points at Community Cup – YOU MUST REGISTER FOR BOTH COMMUNITY CUP AND CHARITY CHALLENGE UNDER THE SAME NAME (Maximum of 10 Community Cup points per team).

  • Two or more!

  • The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the 2025 Community Cup.  If you are a winner, you will be contacted prior to the event to ensure you are able to attend or send a representative to accept the check.

  • Submissions must be submitted by September 30th.
