Kim is a Vietnamese American finance executive with over 30 years of FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) experience. Her journey to success began with immense challenges—at 13, she and her family fled Vietnam as part of the "boat people," enduring a difficult and dangerous journey before resettling in Southern California. Despite the hardships of starting over in a new country, Kim’s determination and resilience shaped her path toward a thriving career in finance.
Kim earned a Business degree from Cal State Los Angeles and quickly established herself as a leader in the entertainment industry. Over the years, she worked with major studios such as Fox, MGM, Paramount, Warner Bros., and Disney, where she developed deep expertise in financial planning, strategic analysis, and business operations. Her ability to navigate complex financial structures and drive results made her a trusted partner in the industry.
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Kim transitioned into consulting, offering her FP&A expertise to various entertainment-related organizations. She played a key role in advising a $500M+ content streaming company and a UK-based TV production firm, helping them refine their financial strategies and adapt to a rapidly evolving market. Her strategic insights and financial acumen allowed these companies to make informed decisions and strengthen their market positions.
Today, Kim channels her extensive experience into the nonprofit sector, where she advises organizations on finance and business operations. Her ability to combine corporate-level strategic thinking with a deep understanding of nonprofit challenges makes her an invaluable resource.
