Jayne Ruane-OneOC

Jayne Ruane has been a dedicated Skill-Based Volunteer with OneOC for over a year, where she plays a key role in supporting event communications and logistics for major OneOC events, including CVCOC and The Civic 50. In addition to managing event details, Jayne assists with grant preparation, develops marketing materials for both print and the website, and provides valuable support for various community engagement activities. Her strategic approach and attention to detail help ensure that OneOC’s events and outreach efforts are effective and impactful.

Jayne brings over 40 years of experience as a management professional in Orange County nonprofits, including leadership roles at Mission Hospital Foundation, Irvine Valley College, South Coast Repertory, Irvine Medical Center, and UC Irvine. Her extensive background in nonprofit management allows her to anticipate challenges, streamline operations, and deliver solutions that drive long-term success. As the founder and managing partner of Higher Applications College Counseling, Jayne also leverages her expertise in advising and guiding students through the college admissions process.

In addition to her work with OneOC, Jayne is highly active in the nonprofit sector, contributing her time and expertise to several organizations. She serves on United Way's 211 Volunteer Leadership Council, the Building Bright Futures Scholarship Committee (Hope Through Housing), and the Health Foundation of OC. She also plays an active role in her local community as a member of the Corona del Mar Residents Association and The Views HOA Board. Her ability to balance high-level strategic work with hands-on community involvement reflects her deep commitment to strengthening both individual organizations and the broader nonprofit ecosystem.

Jayne’s passion for giving back extends beyond her professional work. Her ability to engage with diverse communities and provide thoughtful guidance makes her an invaluable resource to OneOC and the organizations she serves. Whether she’s refining grant proposals, coordinating event logistics, or supporting community outreach, Jayne’s expertise and dedication help OneOC create meaningful connections and lasting impact. In her free time, Jayne enjoys playing Mah Jongg and pickleball, finding balance and relaxation in these favorite hobbies. Her well-rounded experience and unwavering commitment to service make her an essential part of OneOC’s success.
