Terese Parkin-Pathways to Independence

Friends of Pathways proudly honors Terese Parkin, whose 28 years of unwavering service have profoundly impacted the young women of Pathways to Independence. Unassuming and selfless, she is widely regarded as the heart and soul of Friends of Pathways and an essential part of our community.

Throughout her tenure, Terese has dedicated countless hours to three key committees—Volunteer Management, Auction, and Decorating—helping to ensure the success of our programs and events. Her generosity shines at Graduation Parties & BBQs, where she shares her warmth and encouragement with Pathways participants. She has also introduced clients to the Chair of Joy exercise, inspiring a quiet appreciation for all that is positive in life.

A true embodiment of generosity, dedication, and compassion, Terese’s impact extends far beyond Pathways. Her contributions include organizing Red Cross blood drives, brightening the lives of local seniors, and representing her city as Mrs. Long Beach 2024. Her infectious laughter and uplifting spirit bring joy to everyone she encounters.

We are deeply grateful for Terese’s decades of service, which have helped countless program participants thrive. Today, we celebrate not only the tireless work she has done but also the kindness, wisdom, and warmth she shares with all who cross her path.
