Welcome to the Participant Guide for the Court Referral Program

If you’re here as a court referral participant and need to complete community service or court-ordered requirements—whether through a diversion program, a plea deal, or pre-court service—our team is ready to support you every step of the way. We’ve partnered with local nonprofits and community organizations to provide fulfilling service opportunities that match your needs and help you make a positive impact.

From registration to completion, our team is here to guide you, answer your questions, and make this a meaningful journey toward fulfilling your court-ordered service and giving back to your community.


Helpful Information

  • All registration must be completed in person by the individual that needs to complete service. No one else can register the individual on their behalf. If you are under 18 years of age, you must bring a parent or guardian with you. No online or phone registrations. Phone lines are only for general information. Any additional questions you may email us at crp@oneoc.org. Provide your case number, a colored picture of your ID, and your question.

    1. Required Documentation: Participants must bring all necessary court paperwork and a valid government-issued ID. For participants under 18, acceptable IDs include a passport, state ID, or school ID. For those 18 and over, they must bring a passport, state ID, driver’s license, green card, or resident card.

    2. Registration Fee: The fee is on a scale depending on the number of hours an individual will need to complete. The acceptable payment methods (exact cash, money order, Visa, Mastercard, or Discover). Forms of payment not accepted American Express, Gift Card GPay, or Apple Pay. Payment must be made upon registering. If a friend/ partner/ family member is paying on your behalf they must be present with their ID. Names must reflect on the card, cards with no name will not be accepted. Once payment has been made it is nonrefundable for any reason.     3. Explanation of the Process: During registration, a coordinator will review the court paperwork and explain their service options. Options will be based on violation, location, and availability. Participants will be given a time sheet along with instructions to the site. Participants should be attentive and ask questions if anything is unclear, especially regarding program rules and expectations. Court Referral Program sites are not available on the OneOC site.

    4. Post-Registration: After the registration process, participants will receive instructions about the next steps, including service locations, check-in processes, and any follow-up dates. They are responsible for following these guidelines and meeting deadlines as set by the program.

    5. Completion: Once you have completed your service, please visit the OneOC office and bring your original completed time sheet and ID. ( Do Not Fax or Email) Some cases will need to report back to court, and some cases do not require a court hearing. A staff member will guide you on your next step.

    6. Non-Compliance: Failing to follow the outlined procedures or incomplete paperwork could result in delays, non-compliance notices, or further legal actions.

  • If you need an extension. Please visit the clerk’s windows at your original courthouse. They will let you know if they are able to provide you with an extension immediately or if you have tomake an appointment to see a judge. All cases are different. 

    If you have completed some hours and would like a progress report to show proof to the court of your progress. Take your current time sheet to any of our five locations along with your ID for a progress report. 

    Once you have received an extension visit our OneOC offices with a new court order stating your extended date for updated paperwork. A staff member will review your case and inform you if there is an extension fee. 

    Formal Probation:

    • If you are on formal probation and you need an extension, please report to your current officer.

    Out of County Extensions:

    • If you are a transfer from another county you will need visit your original court house in that county for an extension. A new referral form (CLASP) with an updated date will be needed.

    Out of State Extensions:

    • Proof directly from the out of state court will be needed.

  • If you would like to change locations, please request your time sheet from your current location and visit any of our 5 locations with your original time sheet and ID. There will be a fee to change locations. 

    Termination from Current Location:

    If you have been terminated from your current location, please visit any of our 5 locations with your original time sheet and ID for guidance.

  • Transfers can be completed in person or via email at crp@oneoc.org. Send us an email providing your case number, a picture of your ID, and a message stating what county, state, or country you would like to transfer to.

    Once a Client Specialist is available, they will respond to your email and guide you through the process. There will be a fee according to where you wish to transfer.  

    Please Note: If you need to request an extension you will be required to submit a request in writing to the court or return to Orange County in person.

    • You may ONLY transfer Caltrans to select counties in California please contact OneOC to inquire which counties offer Caltrans.

    • You may ONLY transfer your YDAD program to the following county Los Angeles.

    • If you do not have access to a computer you may process your transfer via USPS mail.

    Send us a letter stating your request along with a copy of your court order and a color picture of your ID. 

    A Client Specialist will mail you papaperwork that will need to be filled out.

    Payment accepted via USPS money order or cashier’s check.

    • PICK UP IS: 7 days/week-MUST BE IN LINE BY 7:00AM SHARP

  • With the courts, you have chosen the option of completing community service. The fee offsets the cost of processing your case at OneOC. It covers the time for the interview, monitoring, follow-up, and reporting back to the courts.

  • You may transfer your community service out of county or out of state. Do not begin your community service until you pay and complete your transfer with OneOC.
