The Community Cup is an annual event every October, designed to unite companies and nonprofits from within the community with an afternoon filled with team-building field day activities, family fun zones, volunteer projects, and maybe even a mascot from Orange County’s favorite sports teams!

The Community Cup is a charitable outdoor field event that brings together over 50 teams for a day of fun and friendly athletic competitions. Held each October, the event helps organizations boost employee engagement, promote teamwork, and give back to local nonprofits. Teams compete for a chance to win a donation to the charity of their choice, making it a great way to support the community while fostering collaboration and camaraderie.

Community Cup FAQ’s

  • Community Cup is a chance for companies and nonprofits to come together for an adult field day that encourages employee engagement while providing team-building activities. Teams will compete in a series of games in hopes of winning the title of 2025 Community Cup champion.

  • Community Cup 2025 will take place on Saturday October 2025 at Cal State Fullerton University’s Intramural Field in Fullerton, CA. Check-in for the event will open at 7:00am, and the event will run from 7:30AM – 11:30AM.

  • The official games for Community Cup 2024 are Human Fooseball, Dodgeball, Frisbee Toss, Tug of War and Inflatable Obstacle Course Challenge! Click HERE to view or download the 2024 Games Playbook!

  • Each team is required to have a minimum of 8 players with a maximum of 12 players.

  • We are requiring a team captain name & email address along with the nonprofit you’d like to donate your winnings to.

  • The top three teams who end the day with the most points will receive a donation to the charity of their choice.

  • Absolutely! We encourage players to invite their family and friends to cheer them on. There will also be a family fun zone for children to participate in a variety of activities while the competition is taking place.

  • No dogs are allowed on CSUF Campus, with the exception of service animals. Required documentation must be presented upon request.

  • Reusable water bottle, Blankets, sunscreen, and your A GAME!

  • There will be 3 winners:

    • First place winner will receive a $5K donation to the nonprofit of their choice

    • Second place winner will receive a $3K donation to the nonprofit of their choice

    • Third place winner will receive a $2K donation to the nonprofit of their choice

* Please note that no alcohol is permitted at the event. Law enforcement will be on site to monitor all patrons.

2024 Community Cup

The 2024 Community Cup took place on Saturday, October 12th, at the Intramural Fields of Cal State Fullerton, bringing together 44 companies and 10 nonprofits from across Orange County for a day of team-building field activities.

The event featured our family fun zones, volunteer projects, and a special appearance by the beloved Wild Wing from the Anaheim Ducks. Supported by 74 dedicated volunteers, teams competed in a friendly yet competitive atmosphere. With over 700 attendees, this year's event was a resounding success. We hope to see you all back next year for Community Cup 2025!
