Please note: this training will now be presented virtually to ensure that you are able to participate in the course from the convenience of your own home. You will receive a link to connect to the live virtual training 24 hours before the class start date.

In this workshop you will learn how to develop a program Theory of Change to identify your evaluation strategy. A program theory of change will allow you to map out your program activities, outputs, and outcomes within the context of the problem you are trying to address. It will also include underlying assumptions about how the program works or contextual factors that may disrupt the functioning of the program. It is important to have a program map to ensure that program staff and stakeholders have a shared understanding of how the program is supposed to work and what it should achieve.

In the second half of the workshop you will learn how to take your program map (theory of change) and create an evaluation plan to measure your program impact. Having an evaluation plan will ensure you are collecting data in all of the key areas needed to show your outcomes are occurring.
