Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Hogiadi Kurniawan

The Priority Center is proud to nominate Hogiadi “Hogi”” Kurniawan for the One OC Spirit of Volunteerism Award. His enthusiasm for giving back to his community and dedication to The Priority Center is an inspiration to us all. We hold him in the highest regard and we believe that he is well-deserving of this honor.

Hogi began his journey with The Priority Center in 2017 as a member of the Board of Directors. Serving as the Audit Committee Chair for three years and Board Chair for the 2021 Fiscal Year, Hogi has played an invaluable role as a volunteer and leader for The Priority Center for the past five years. Hogi brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our board with his accounting background. He is Audit Senior Manager at Haskell & White LLP, also a longtime supporter of The Priority Center. During The Priority Center’s rebranding in 2019, and during the start of the pandemic in 2020 – a most challenging year for nonprofits all around – Hogi helped guide the Center in areas of funding and finance as well provided his valuable input as we transitioned to the “new normal.”

Hogi’s remarkable generosity of spirit was most evident at The Priority Center’s 2020 Families Helping Families program, which provides gifts to families in greatest need during the holiday season. Hogi recruited volunteers and donors to adopt families, while playing a key role volunteering at the distribution drive. That same weekend, he volunteered with his team to support the ABC7 Spark of Love drive, the largest community toy drive in the nation, and a Priority Center partner.

We believe that Hogi epitomizes the true spirit of volunteerism, and we hope you will consider him for this special honor.
