Award Category: Arts & Education Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary: Cary has spent 30 years helping improve the lives of kids, from mentoring kids in many different places and ways, being a Big Brother Mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters, a coach to over 50 youth sports teams, to the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters CASA, Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, and the CHOC Foundation Board (including Board Chair), Cary has lead in so many ways in support of children and their needs. |
Honoree’s Name: Liza Krassner
Award Category: Public Health & Safety Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary: Liza has helped lead the Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC) as a member of the Board of Directors while advocating for individuals and families with special needs. She has also served in leadership roles with the Irvine Residents with Disabilities Advisory Board for the City of Irvine as well as the Center for Autism and Neurological Disorders for many years. |
Honoree’s Name: Susannah Johnston
Award Category: Economic & Workforce Development Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary: Susannah has for several years served on the OneOC Volunteerism Advisory Council and is now the Vice-Chair. She also serves on the Corporate Volunteer Council of Orange County. She works to promote greater nonprofit impact via volunteerism and corporate – nonprofit engagement. She also served for 7 years on the Center Club Cares Grant Committee helping to award $86,000 to many Orange County Nonprofits. |
