After graduating in 2018 with a BA in Theatre Arts from Cal State Northridge, Magna Cum Laude, Elizabeth decided to give back to her community while pursuing professional growth by applying for an AmeriCorps VIP Fellowship. She loved it so much that she decided to sign up for a second term and is extremely blessed and honored to be taking on her new role as AmeriCorps VIP Lead and will be supervising the largest cohort of AmeriCorps Fellows on the West Coast. After her current term, she plans to pursue a Master’s Degree in Education, afforded to her by the education award through the AmeriCorps VIP program. With this, she hopes to combine her 20-year career serving children/youth with the talents she gained in Theatre Arts, to help develop creative and sustainable programs fostering personal growth and empowerment for at-risk youth within her community.
