RSVP San Bernardino County Station! SOV 21

Published: April 2, 2021

Award Category: Live

Through the COVID induced craziness of 2020, OneOC worked to place RSVP volunteers at the Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County (CAPSBC) food distribution center and its affiliated agencies, ensuring that the most critical Community need- food security and food delivery- were supported in an environment where the only thing that stayed constant was constant change and constant unrelenting need. OneOC is so proud to honor this critical RSVP station and their RSVP Volunteers- they each truly embody our 2020 Spirit of Volunteerism theme- Extraordinary Circumstances/Everyday Heroes!

Last year, even with COVID stay at home requirements, our RSVP volunteers donated over 600 in person and virtual hours, which is a value of approximately $19,000 donated to our Community programs.

Thank you to CAPSBC and our RSVP volunteers for staying committed to your mission through extraordinary circumstances. We can’t think of a more appropriate year to stop and honor the work your organization is doing in our Community, and thank you for making RSVP volunteers a part of your mission!

  1. To prevent the “Food Insecurity” Disaster within the Disaster, these volunteers continued to serve…even when they might have been at higher-risk, ensuring that all San Bernardino County residents have enough food to eat and reminding us that we really are all in it together!
