Through the COVID induced craziness of 2020, OneOC worked to place RSVP volunteers in local Orange County nonprofits, ensuring that the most critical Community needs- food security, food delivery, employment, along with the needs of our Seniors and youth education- were supported in an environment that seemed to change day to day, minute by minute. OneOC is so proud to honor our RSVP stations and their RSVP Volunteers- they each truly embody our 2020 Spirit of Volunteerism theme- Extraordinary Circumstances/Everyday Heroes!

Thank you to Bracken’s Kitchen for staying committed to supplying unforeseen numbers of meals to anybody in need, to Orange Senior Center and Buena Park Meals on Wheels for supporting food delivery to both Seniors and the larger population during this critical year.

Thank you to Working Wardrobes for working with those who required extra support and attention to regain employment- possibly in a new field- and to Laura’s House for their commitment to the safety of those experiencing domestic abuse at previously unimaginable levels.

Thank you to Stand Up 4 Kids, Think Together, Goin Native and School on Wheels for staying strong and flexible while classrooms and mentorship/peer program support transitioned like never before.

Last year, even with COVID stay at home requirements, our RSVP volunteers donated over 400 in person and virtual hours, which is a value of approximately $13,000 donated to our Community programs. We can’t think of a more appropriate year to stop and honor the extraordinary work these organizations are doing in our Community, and thank you for making our RSVP volunteers a part of your mission!

  1. In a crazy year, where our most vulnerable population might also have been our most valued volunteer(s)…it is truly Superhuman to see how these AMAZING Volunteers continued to serve and support these mission-driven organizations. Congrats to ALL and thank you for your time & talents!
