Honoree’s Name: Katherline Trieu

Award Category: Hunger & Homelessness

Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Katherline Trieu

Katherline has been a volunteer at our Family and Senior Resource Center in Westminster since 2020 and she has been with Project Access during our transition from in-person programming to virtual programming due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Katherline exudes a contagious energy and enthusiasm which makes volunteering fun for everyone. Katherline supports our site with weekly food distribution and she also supports our after-school programs for the youth. She does great work and puts a lot of her efforts in every tasks. One example could be Katherline always prepared to work when she arrives at site and after learning how things work, she would take initiative and get things ready for the program she would support. Katherline is a team player and always willing to learn and share skills with other volunteers. |Within the past year, Katherline has also provided Vietnamese translation assistance to many members in the community. We cannot run our multiple programs efficiently without amazing volunteers like Katherline!

Honoree’s Name: Anita Hamedi

Award Category: Public Health & Safety

Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Anita has been a great asset to us at Project Access. Anita has helped us with our outreach efforts to maintain residents engaged. Especially during the pandemic, Anita helped us complete wellness calls to provide support to residents and target residents that required linkage to other services. With Anita completing outreach efforts, we noticed an increase in resident participation. As a volunteer, Anita has demonstrated excellent organization and communication skills. Anita has demonstrated her willingness and commitment to be a support to our community. We are so thankful for the ongoing support Anita has provided as a volunteer.
