Danna Kipnis

Danna Kipnis joined Parentis Foundation in 2019 with a desire to volunteer in an organization that was making a meaningful difference in the lives of families in the Orange County community she recently moved to. As a Parentis Foundation volunteer, Danna immediately jumped in with a willingness to lend her expertise in helping to maintain the data collection and management of our Experience Corps OC Literacy Intervention Program. In 2020, Danna knew that our tutoring program was growing and that the need for additional program oversight and volunteer coordination was where she could best support the Foundation. As a volunteer site coordinator, she assists the Parentis team in providing training and supervision to fellow volunteer tutors helping to insure every tutor session is implemented with fidelity resulting in positive student outcomes for academic success, as well as building a strong bond with their mentors.

Judy Kissinger

Judy Kissinger joined Parentis Foundation as a volunteer tutor in 2019. As a retired educator and administrator, Judy dedicates her time, talent, and wisdom to serve our at-risk youth struggling to become proficient readers through our Experience Corps OC Literacy Intervention Program as a tutor and mentor. In 2020, Judy joined our board of directors. Although she remains a reading tutor, she is also serving as program guide and mentor to our AmeriCorps Vista members overseeing the Foundation’s Lifelong Learner Series which focuses on discovering and sharing life passions, hobbies, and personal endeavors of our older adult volunteers.

John Lamirande

John Lamirande is a committed Parentis Foundation Board member since May of 2019. John currently serves as our Board Vice President and is offering his 30+ years of experience in business management and strategic development to guide us through building our 10-year strategic development plan assuring that we remain aligned with our Vision and Mission for growth. John believes strongly that bringing together our two most valued generations through educational intervention programs both enhances the quality of life for our older adult volunteers and inspires our youth to achieve academic success and learn life skills to become the future leaders of our communities.
