Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Alyssa volunteers with our organization in our Animal Care and Education departments, as well as representing PMMC at Outreach events. We are nominating her due to her extraordinary involvement in our Education programs during COVID-19. She is very caring, and puts a lot of thought and effort into her presentations.
Alyssa has helped with our online Pinniped Pollution Project and Healing Seals programs. She has been very reliable, even in the midst of her work schedule changing, due to COVID. Before COVID, Alyssa would come in on her one day off to help us out.

Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Kristina is an incredibly dedicated volunteer who, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, has been a true hero to the animal care department at PMMC. She truly exemplifies how the work of one volunteer can have such a large impact. She graciously dedicates herself to our organization. Kristina also participates in our Necropsy Intern program, where she further helps our organization. She genuinely represents the all-important roll of a volunteer.
When we were experiencing a shortage of volunteers due to the pandemic, Kristina stepped up and filled in on multiple shifts. During our busy times, if a need arose for a necropsy she was happy to help, even after working a long shift in animal care.

Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Caitlyn is an incredibly dedicated volunteer who, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, has been a true hero to the animal care department at PMMC. Her cheerful personality and dedication to the organization have been incredibly helpful during these challenging times. She brings a lightness to her shifts, while being able to tackle any challenge thrown at her. She has been a great asset to have when it comes to rescuing and rehabilitating our marine patients.
When we were experiencing a shortage of volunteers due to the pandemic Caitlyn stepped up and helped fill in on multiple shifts during the week and on the weekends. When she was asked if she could help out for full days her positivity did not waiver.
