Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:
Theresa Walker has been a staff writer at the Orange County Register since 1992. She was a reporter and editor at the San Bernardino Sun from 1986 to 1992. She has a communications degree from Cal State Dominguez Hills. Theresa retired from the Register in December 2021.
Theresa has taken great care with her stories and narratives and has been a gift to the community over the years. Her grace and attention to detail is unmatched. Theresa has informed and educated her readers on important issues of the day; engaging readers with Calls to Action. Orange County has been strengthened and enhanced thanks to Theresa’s story telling.
