Honoree’s Name: Ken Higman

Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Ken joined us as a volunteer with OneOC’s Accounting Services team in December 2022. His experience and knowledge during his career in the Finance Industry have helped elevate us in doing Financial Analysis, Business Development, and accounting support work. Ken is always happy to help to figure things out and is an important part of our team! Not only does he help OneOC, but he also serves as a volunteer in our community with the following organizations: Seniors Citizen Advisory Council, Christ Cathedral Community Outreach, Bower’s Museum, Lions Club International, Tustin Area Senior Center, and the AARP Tax Aide.

Honoree’s Name: Albert Evangelista

Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Albert Evangelista has been volunteering with OneOC since 2009, using his talent, time, and expertise as a professional photographer at OneOC events. One of Albert’s most notable contributions to the organization Evangelista, Albert.OneOCthroughout the years is his incredible work during OneOC’s annual Spirit of Volunteerism Awards. Albert is the friendly face behind the camera every year photographing our VIP’s, and is upfront and center during the event, never missing an opportunity to capture all the memorable moments on stage. His keen eye and attention to detail are what make his work stand out and is a great contribution to the essence of OneOC. Thank you for all you do!

 

 

Honoree’s Name: Herman Askew

Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Herman has been volunteering with OneOC since 2015, using his talent, time, and expertise as a professional photographer at OneOC’s annual Spirit of Volunteerism. Herman is the friendly face behind the camera every year setting up and running our volunteer appreciation photo-booth. We love his spirit and suggestions to make certain we are getting the best picture for our honorees.

Honoree’s Name: Kristen Strauch

Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Kristen has been a volunteer with OneOC for over one year and has been an invaluable member of the team! She has supported OneOC’s Training Department and Organizational Development Services team, providing administrative assistance with the scheduling and coordination of training course.

She has the true spirit of a volunteer – always willing to support OneOC in any way possible. She shares our passion for accelerating nonprofit success, and her commitment to volunteering helps our nonprofit clients to better serve the community.

Honoree’s Name: Colleen Richardson

Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Colleen has been a member of the OneOC team since 2010, making her one of our longest dedicated volunteer. She is always willing to lend a hand and we are so grateful for his continued support of OneOC and the nonprofit sector as a whole. Over the years, she has assisted every department, from assisting to get data entered into the database to auditing and fixing inaccurate data. She has passion and drive with a wealth of knowledge for nonprofits.   I truly appreciate her time,  insight, and dedication to finding the answers. 

She is truly a valuable asset to the OneOC team. Thank you.

 

Honoree’s Name: Merritt Weiss

Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

Merritt started volunteering with OneOC last year assisting our Volunteer Services department as a service leader at our Meet Match & Serve team building events. She has been a valuable asset assisting our corporate volunteers navigate to find their supplies and providing them clear concise direction on their volunteer project they are to complete for the day. 

OneOC is so grateful for her dedication and enthusiasm. Her volunteer support allows our organization to accomplish so much more. We are so thankful to have Merritt as a part of our team.
