Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:

The incredible volunteers who dedicate so much of themselves to our mission at Make-A-Wish understand that when a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy and anxiety with hope. Children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. A wish gives children renewed energy and strength, brings families closer together and unites communities. Over the 22 years that Lee Haight has been actively involved with Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire, he has brought hope to countless numbers of children and families in our community. Lee has served many roles throughout the years at Make-A-Wish – Board Member, Finance Committee Member, Audit Committee Chair, and (perhaps most importantly) Wish Granter. Lee’s leadership and commitment to our mission has not gone unrecognized. We are truly honored to have him represent our organization and believe he is more than deserving to be recognized and awarded at this year’s Annual OneOC Spirit of Volunteerism event. .
