Honoree’s Name: Pam Krey
Why This Volunteer is Extraordinary:
I am amazed at the gift that Pam possess as she greets and allows the parents to find a safe space in which to seek the comfort that they so desperately need. I can always count on Pam to show up for her assigned shifts as well as help out if there are other openings. Pam served our community for over 41 years in public education. She taught elementary school, moved onto secondary school administration and then as a High School Principal. She is currently an Anaheim Police Department Cops4Kids Board Member. Cops4K support the Explorer program, Adopt-a-Family through the OC Justice Center, Anaheim Confidential and the OC Homicide Investigators Association which provides assistance to victims and their families. Pam is an Anaheim Police Chief Advisory Board Member, this includes serving on oral interview panels for hiring new officers, attending public events and monthly meetings for dissemination of current community issues. She serves on the Board for Altrusa of Anaheim which fundraises for the local literacy and scholarships as well as supporting other community agencies. Pam and Her husband Rick have been married for almost 53 years and have 2 sons. Other charities and interests that they support are the Wounded Warriors, Meals on Wheels, German Shepard Rescue, the Irvine Barclay Theatre, Anaheim Ducks Foundation and the Orange County Ronald McDonald House. We are blessed to have Pam on our Volunteer Team and appreciate her kindness and support that she shares with all that meet her. |
